BatAAr – THE DISTANCE Music Video / PV (OFFICIAL)

Swedish independent Art Metal quintet BatAAr have just released the music video for the song “THE DISTANCE” for worldwide viewing on their YouTube channel. THE DISTANCE is a dynamic, rocking tune with a catchy edge and an infectious, emotional chorus that is sure to get stuck in your head! It was recorded at Top Floor Studios in the band’s home town Gothenburg and mixed and mastered by the legendary Tue Madsen. Madsen has previously worked with bands such as DIR EN GREY, ONE OK ROCK, The Haunted, Suicide Silence and Dark Tranquillity. THE DISTANCE will also be one of the tracks on BatAAr’s upcoming mini-album “MEMORIA”, which will be released in 2014. “THE DISTANCE” will be available on digital outlets such as iTunes, Spotify and Amazon shortly, along with bonus tracks.

BatAAr is the world’s first and only Art Metal band. The concept of Art Metal is allows the bans to employ a previously unheard diversity of styles and genre mixtures in their songs while still maintaining an undoubtable signature sound. Everything from electronically infused punk, power ballads and deathcore to djent and straight-up pop rock – nothing is taboo for BatAAr. Art Metal also puts heavy focus on visuals, in order to further express the wide range of emotions and moods maintained in the band’s songs.
Since the release of their EP “ABSORB” in 2011, BatAAr have been constantly rising in popularity worldwide and will soon embark on their first ever tour of Japan with “TOUR2013 >> 2014 THE ROAD TO RUIN”, in support of their upcoming singles and mini-album “MEMORIA”. * Over 25000 followers on Twitter in just a few months, and between 5000 and 40000 followers on all of the band members’ individual accounts

* Considerable fan support all over the world in the shape of local street teams, fan art and constant social media exposure made by fans
* Ranked #1 in the category Rock and #5 in the category Metal for bands in Gothenburg on ReverbNation
* Was the first band to ever stream a live gig over through the Internet from renowned Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg. Hundreds of fans from all over the world watched the stream and the site’s chat came close to crashing several times from all of the praise
* Headlined the ConFusion convention at Gothenburg’s World Culture Museum in front of 800 adoring fans. The convention sold out all of its tickets shortly after BatAAr’s appearance was announced
* Through the years, BatAAr have performed together with popular Swedish bands such as Adept, DeathDestruction, The Resistance, Skitarg and Kerbera
* The band’s debut EP “ABSORB”, mastered by Göran Finnberg who has worked with In Flames, Opeth, Soilwork, Arch Enemy and Meshuggah, went straight to iTunes top chart for Rock music upon release
* BatAAr’s single “OWLS AND SNAKES” climbed as high as #4 on iTunes Top Rock Charts upon release
* Devoted fans have traveled all the way from Germany and the UK to see BatAAr perform live in Sweden, going to such lengths as camping outside the live venue 24 hours in advance
* In Januari 2013, BatAAr were featured in the legendary Japanese music show Viju*Love*Café
* BatAAr are featured in the book “VISUAL ROCK PERFECT DISK GUIDE 500” by Akemi Oshima, which encompasses the most important and groundbreaking visual rock-bands ever. BatAAr are mentioned as the biggest and fastest growing non-Japanese rising stars of the new school of visual rock.
* In December 2013 and Januari 2014, BatAAr will be embarking on a tour and PR trip in Japan to support their upcoming mini-album “MEMORIA”
